What Brainrot does
Brainrot counts short videos in supported social apps selected by you. It provides daily and per-app totals, seven-day history, an optional floating counter, a daily goal and optional daily-goal blocking.
Accessibility access and on-device processing
With your explicit consent, Brainrot uses Android Accessibility Services to process screen labels, interface information and scroll events in selected supported social apps, including while Brainrot is in the background. This information is used to identify short-video feeds and video transitions and display the optional counter. If you separately enable daily-goal blocking, Brainrot uses Android's Back action to leave detected supported video feeds when your combined daily count reaches your chosen limit.
Screen content is processed temporarily on your device and is not saved or transmitted by Brainrot. Brainrot does not record screenshots or videos. Only supported social apps can be selected. Accessibility is a powerful device permission; some payment apps may require you to disable it before using them.
Information stored on your device
Brainrot stores daily per-app counts and app preferences, including your selected apps, daily goal, consent and tracking, counter and blocking settings. Stored daily counts may remain on your device until you delete them; the history screen displays seven days. Brainrot does not upload these records to a server. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for app data.
Data collection and sharing
The current app has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or internet permission. Brainrot does not transmit, sell or share your screen content, counts or settings with us or third parties. Social apps and Google Play operate under their own privacy policies, independently of Brainrot.
Your controls and deletion
You can select supported apps, pause tracking, disable the floating counter, turn daily-goal blocking on or off and change your goal. Pausing tracking does not revoke Android accessibility permission. You can revoke that permission in Android Settings or use Brainrot's 'Turn off accessibility for payments' control.
Use 'Delete count history' in Brainrot Settings to remove stored counts. This keeps your preferences. Clear the app's storage or uninstall Brainrot to remove its locally stored data.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request and retain it only as needed for support and applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment information or unnecessary sensitive information.
Children
Brainrot is a general-purpose app-usage tool and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app. If you have a concern about information sent to us through support, contact [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy as Brainrot changes. The updated policy will show a revised date. Material changes to accessibility use or data handling will be accompanied by updated disclosures and consent where required.
